Aegom Interactive LLC, which publishes education content for use with
SMART board, revealed today that the company has been acquired by private equity firm Twelve Court Inc for an undisclosed sum.
Smart Technologies has launched its third generation
Smart Board 600i interactive whiteboard system.
According to the proposal, a
SMART Board is the brand name for an interactive whiteboard, which connects to a computer and projector, allowing an instructor to teach to a large group using his or her finger as a mouse.

Smart Board interactive whiteboard, the new Unifi projector, and a built-in 20-watt audio system, streamlines the classroom and simplifies the effort teachers must make to learn new electronics.
By using Microsoft Excel and a
SMART Board, an analysis can also be made during actual meetings, eliminating the need for administrators to return to their office to crunch numbers, then report or reevaluate them at a later date.
SMART products include the family of award-winning
SMART Board interactive whiteboards, as well as interactive pen displays and software.

The three products combine with single or multiple
Smart Board interactive whiteboards and
Smart Board interactive displays to create connected meeting rooms where dispersed staff can instantly set up a data conference, write in digital ink over any application and save their work, share desktops and notes, and participate as if they were in the same room.
In other classes, the
SMART Board technology allows teachers to introduce audiovisual presentations to students, all from a lesson designed and executed from a laptop computer.
