These products include: Fluorescein Sodium & Benoxinate, Altacaine, Goniotaire, and
Homatropine. Altaire is the only manufacturer of FDA Approved Fluorescein Sodium & Benoxinate and Fluorescein Sodium & Proparacaine.
The patient was treated with prednisolone acetate 1% and
homatropine 2% topical eye drops (Sina Darou, Iran) every 6 hours and 8 hours, respectively, for 5 days till the anterior chamber reaction and the ciliary injection were resolved.
Postoperatively, patient was prescribed topical steroids (betamethasone 0.1%) and topical antibiotic (moxifloxacin 0.5%) and 2hourly/day and 1%
homatropine twice a day for one week then tapered it according to progress.

They vary in potency and duration of action, with the effects of cyclopentolate hydrochloride 1% lasting up to 24 hours compared to
homatropine hydrobromide or atropine sulfate whose effects can continue for up to three or seven days, respectively.
The patient was initially given topical 1% topical prednisolone acetate (every hour while awake) and 1%
homatropine (2*/d).
