Camp fever

Prentice Lamb and Abijah Fisk, who died of "camp fever," or typhus, while stationed at Greenbush, today known as Rensselaer, N.Y.

Tap was a local word for fever and doolally tap meant someone was suffering from camp fever.

"Camp fever" prevented Johnson from the hardy work others were doing, yet he still managed to form the Oregon City Baptist Church on July 4, 1847.
