Guernsey's harbour master said there is almost "zero chance" of finding survivors after a plane carrying Cardiff City striker Sala, 28, and pilot Dave Ibbotson, 60, vanished off Alderney on Monday.

"Next of kin have been informed of this development and my thoughts go out to the family of the pilot and passenger at this most difficult of times," Guernsey Harbour Master David Barker said in a statement.

Harbour Master staff took charge of the situation and deployed the tugs 'Taqatwar' and 'Tanomand' for rescuing the crew members.
