A mild boattail helps aerodynamics, although being intended for deer, most CI XP projectiles are too light-for-caliber to have really high ballistic coefficient numbers.

The heaviest Nosier factory load is its 85-grain RDF hollowpoint, whereas Federal offers two 90-grain Valkyrie loads: Fusion MSR 90-grain spitzer boattail and 90-grain Sierra MatchKing.

Three of our rifles will feed and shoot Ballistic Tips, Partitions, and boattail Spitzers weighing from 150 to 200 grains with no feeding problems whatsoever.
