As far as we know, there were no published studies in the current literature which determined the effect of EEN on outcomes in CD patients with percutaneously undrainable abscesses.
Treatments for the percutaneously undrainable abscesses were generally started with nutrition management and concomitant antibiotics.
During the follow-up period, the estimated cumulative rates of surgery for CD patients with undrainable abscess were 43% at 1 month, 61% at 3 months, 85% at 1 year, and 90% at 2 years.
