Family members who use the
point-of-service option are responsible for paying the annual deductible of $300 per member or $600 per family, and 50 percent of the TRICARE allowable charge once the deductible is met.
These forces include dividing the network's total capitated payment between the physicians and the hospitals, causing an enormously politicized process; more physicians focusing on IPAs and unionization as alternatives to gain more control over their practice of medicine; and, a small percentage of physicians with high-income patients opting out of their managed care contracts and only accepting fee-for-service or
