(ôr-nĭth′ə-pŏd′) One of the main types of ornithischian dinosaurs, including the hadrosaurs. Ornithopods walked on their hind legs and had three blunt toes on each foot. They lived from the late Triassic Period until the end of the Cretaceous Period.
