Dundee Township Park District event features mini zoo,
hayrides, inflatables, climbing tree, carnival rides, kids' games, balloon artist from noon to 2 p.m., magic show from 11:30 a.m.
A fundraiser for the Warwick Education Foundation, the event will include trick-or-treating,
hayrides, crafts, games, and more, for any age.

hayrides. Now, with a mechanical bull, a bounce house, and corporate parties, the Harvest Festival keeps growing.
All day: It's all about the pumpkin with pumpkin painting for kids ($5), pumpkin race cars ($3), pumpkin scavenger hunt (free), pumpkin launcher ($1), pumpkin bounce house ($1),
hayrides ($1), vote for your favorite giant decorated pumpkins.

An Associated Press story this week noted that only Rhode Island appears to require a permit to operate
hayrides. That's probably because the vast majority of
hayrides have operated safely, and at low speeds, for many, many years.
In addition to the highlight of the festival, the famous Country Supper Theatre--where folks can enjoy a bean and cornbread supper each evening as well as a show--there also are old-fashioned games for the children,
hayrides and historical displays.

Designed to be fun as well as informative, the programs emphasize hands-on activities, from harvesting and eating winter crops to milking artificial cows and making butter, and also include
hayrides and sing-alongs.
Participants will host special events, including craft workshops and demonstrations,
hayrides, food samplings, menus featuring local foods, musical performances, lodging packages and more.
At the festival, local officials, including Manhattan Borough President Scott Stringer and Council Member Robert Jackson, and residents young and old, toured the lighthouse, listened to live music by Orville Davis and the Stout Trio, had their faces painted and enjoyed food, historic demonstrations,
hayrides and more.
