fouette - A spectacular pirouette in which the ballerina whips her raised leg around in an eggbeater motion while spinning on the other leg.

fouetté

(a whipped movement). A step executed on pointe, the working leg whipped out to the side and in to the knee with a slight circular movement, frequently combined with turns as fouetté en tournant, to which it gives momentum.
