When Washington, D.C.-based org Boarder Baby Project gave Edmonds a tour of a local hospital, specifically, showing him the baby nursery where a group of new-born infants born to drug-addicted mothers had been abandoned, he felt compelled to make the public aware of this growing epidemic.
Edmonds' first-ever multicity concert tour as a solo artist was organized in part to raise awareness and funds for Boarder Baby Project, which was able to purchase a transitional home (the Little Blue House) where the babies can enjoy a loving and stable home environment until they are adopted.
