PESHAWAR -- The Council of Pakistan Newspaper Editors (CPNE) has welcomed the decision of Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa Chief Minister Mahmood Khan and Provincial Information Minister Shaukat Yousafzai for having directed the Information and PRs department to carry out necessary amendments to exempt newspapers from the 5% KPRA tax, annual registration fee, ensure monthly payment of government advertisements and immediate payment of outstanding dues of newspapers against Government advertisements and sizable increase in the quantum of Government advertisements in order to fulfill the long standing demands of CPNE.

Minister for Information and Public relations Shaukat Ali Yousafzai was the chief guest on the occasion and unfurled the national flag.
