The dimple works best with the Windsor and Half Windsor knots. If you are using a Four-In-Hand knot it can be tough to get a nice looking dimple.
The large end of neckties from generous friends, relatives, and thrift stores for one dollar each were used to create the starburst placemats and the small tie ends were tied in Windsor knots to make tiny neckties for the napkin rings.
