BP-Willow Bark Extract is an aqueous extract made from the freshly harvested bark of the Salicaceac and genus salix species of willow trees typically containing approximately 10% natural salicylates comprised of salicylic acid, salicin, salicortin, fragilin, populin, traiandrin, vimalin, tannins, beneficial flavonoids, and some minerals, acting synergistically as an analgesic on the skin and as a way to deliver naturally-derived salicylic acid.

The domestic cat can hear sounds about 1/10th as faint and three times as high in frequency; it can also localize sounds more accurately, to an acuity of 1/6 of a degree, suggesting 100 times as much audio information (Tollin, Populin, Moore, Ruhland, & Yin, 2005).

A flavanoid, luteolin-7-glucoside, as well as salicin and populin, stimulating the feeding of leaf beetles attacking salicaceous plants.

They include: glucosides, such as salicin, populin, tremuloidin, salireposide, and grandidentatin; acids such as benzoic and p-hydroxybenzoic; and phenols, such as salicyl alcohol and catechol[9].

It can also be a useful tool to boost the activity of conventional preservative owing to the presence of 1.5-11% phenolic glycosides, mainly salicylates (1.0-10.2%), including salicin and its derivatives salicortin, fragilin, populin, triandrin and vimaln; tannins--mainly catechin; some gallotannins and condensed tannins (pyrocyanidins) and 1-4% flavonoids including isoquercitrin and naringin and its glucosides.
