Lasting democracy is not a temporary show of excitement and manipulation by an
over-articulate section of the elite and its captive audience; lasting democracy is a permanent diet to nurture the soul of the whole nation and the political process.

Yet this week Coward's play is given a truly superb packaging by this hugely overworked company who have managed to find so beautifully Coward's intrinsically glib,
over-articulate and whimsically amoral characters whose measured skirmishings delighted a crowded house on opening night.
So, before I enrage
over-articulate minorities, I ask which other superpower was so religiously tolerant, or would abolish slavery?
