The linguistics professor, who lives in Conwy, is also looking at usage patterns behind the 'smileys' which are often used in texts, tweets and Facebook status updates to
express emotion.
The artwork explores themes of beauty, inspiration, and the power of the human form, through Tectonics and Linear Expressionism, a style that uses rhythmic lines and the flow of forms to
express emotion. Sculptures are in mediums of bronze and wood, and feature dynamic figurative compositions, as well as life-size portrait busts of inspirational individuals.
"They tell us they can talk to their children for the first time when they're visiting, and can
