The funeral of James Petre, who lived in Northfield Road, will be at St Cuthbert's Church, Billingham Green, on Monday at 12.30pm, when he will be honoured by local ex-service organisations.

Petre met his victim in Romania in 2017 and two weeks later he forced her to move to Coventry and threatened to kill her children if she didn't.

The judge recommended Petre be deported at the end of his sentence.

Accompanying the Romanian PM are Teodor Melescanu, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Petre Daea, Minister of Agriculture, Dr Sorina Pintea, Minister of Health, Ramona Manescu, Member of the European Parliament and other officials.

The firm has appointed Clare Petre to the position.
