The determinations of copper were performed on a Metrohm 797
polarograph. A Metrohm E-603 digital pH meter equipped with a combined glass calomel electrode was used for the pH adjustments.
All measurements were performed by computer controlled Eco-Tribo
Polarograph [54] (Polaro-Sensors, Czech Republic) with the software POLAR.PRO in a three-electrode setup, where HMDE (surface area 0.73 [mm.sup.2]), m-AgSAE (0.39 [mm.sup.2]), and p-AgSAE (0.28 [mm.sup.2]) originating from EcoTrend Plus, Czech Republic, and BiFE (7.07 [mm.sup.2]) deposited on GCE substrate (Monokrystaly, Czech Republic) served as the working electrodes.
Differential pulse polarography (DPP) with Computrace VA 757 (Metrohm, Switzerland)
polarograph equipped with dropping mercury electrode as working electrode, Pt rod as auxiliary electrode, and Ag/AgCl reference electrode was exploited to evaluate iron reduction capability of bacterial isolates.
Britton Robinson buffer was prepared by known method Amperometric titration were made on SYSTRONIC 1634
polarograph at 1.15 V as SCE An Elico digital pH meter 269 was used with glass and calomel electrode assembly Experimental sets, each having known amount of Se, & Te in appropriate quantity of BR buffer of pH 5.80 at u = 0.2 were prepared.
Moreover, they employed cathodic-ray
polarograph which is far more inferior to the current technique of DPP concerning the improved calibration range and lower detection limits in the later case.
The universal
polarograph OH-105 has a reference potential of -4V and the starting potential is 1.6V.
The polarograms were recorded with a Recorder
Polarograph, d.c.
By means of the
polarograph the dissolved oxygen concentration can be rapidly and accurately ascertained regardless of the character of the sample.
An ELICO (CL-25D)
polarograph in conjunction with ELICO chart recorder (LR101P), ELICO pH-meter (LI-120), a Julabo F-40 HC (West-Germany) circulating cryostat and sergent capillary with characteristics, m=1.722[mgs.sup.-1], t=5.3s (open circuit) for 70 cm Hg head in aqueous LiCl[O.sub.4] (0.1 mol [dm.sup.-3]) at zero potential (SCE) and H-shaped double walled kalousek cell with built-in SCE in the second limb of the cell, were used.
