For patients undergoing arterial embolization, such as the unilateral
external iliac artery, the femoral artery, or the bilateral internal iliac artery, ischemia of limbs or organs were closely monitored and readied for bypass surgery.
The DIEA arises from the
external iliac artery above the inguinal ligament.
The lower pole of the kidney was supplied by the lower renal artery (LRA) that was anastomosed to the
external iliac artery during the original surgery.
Based on these studies, due to the wide range of possible arterial origins that include: common iliac artery (40 %), median sacral artery (2.9 %), internal iliac artery (1.94 %),
external iliac artery (0.97 %), iliolumbar artery (2.9 %) and phrenic artery (0.97 %).
Multiple arteries in the graft were anastomosed individually to recipient
external iliac artery or to each other before anastomosis to the recipient vessels.
In this report, we present a rare case of rectum cancer with synchronous isolated left external iliac lymph node metastases with invasion of
external iliac artery and ureter, with neither regional lymph node metastasis nor distant hematogenous metastasis, for whom a potentially curative operation including distant metastatic lymph node dissection and arterial reconstruction was performed.
The ovarian artery, median sacral artery,
external iliac artery, internal iliac artery and its branches are important structures of pelvic retroperitoneal vasculature (Figure 5).
The ratio of PSV in the renal artery relative to PSV in the
external iliac artery greater than 3 is also supportive of the diagnosis of renal artery stenosis.
Rupture of the
external iliac artery, utero-ovarian artery and uterine artery, regardless of the site of rupture, may lead to direct hemorrhage into the peritoneal cavity, with rapid and profound blood loss, which can result in hypovolemic shock and death.
The Echo-Doppler showed minimal lengthening in the left common and
external iliac artery with subtle functional kinking in the flexed hip position.
In 76% of cases, the origin of the IEA is from the
external iliac artery (EIA) above the inguinal ligament.
Care needs to be taken, however, during the approach for UAE because the main access to the internal iliac artery for embolization is via the contralateral femoral artery and
external iliac artery. Careless instrumentation can make the external iliac arterial exposure during KT more difficult secondary to periarterial inflammation.
