Singapore: Boeing, the world's largest planemaker, said global air-freight market is expected to double in the next two decades helped by demand to move goods within China and from Asia to North America.
At the same time, average prices for domestic nonscheduled airfreight services increased 4.2%, though international nonscheduled air-freight tags fell 4%.
"With increasing space limitations and continued rate increases on air freight from Asia we are providing a viable alternative to conventional air freight with a new sea-air product which combines ocean-freight and air-freight services," said Port of Salalah chief executive officer Peter Ford.
