Wisconsin River

A river, about 700 km (430 mi) long, flowing from north-central to southern Wisconsin then west to the Mississippi River. The Wisconsin Dells, a portion of the river located south of Wausau before it turns west, is a popular resort area known for its sandstone rock formations.
