All the 14 puerperal female patients presented with more than one manifestation of hemiplegia, paraplegia, uroschesis, visual loss or dysarthria, and with mild to moderate abnormalities of CSF.

Complications such as skin necrosis and skin infections were not be found in each group, while complications of uroschesis, crissum skin abnormality, temporary anal incontinence, and edema in the incision area are not significantly different in the two test groups (p values of 0.784, 0.459, 0.691, and 0.651, resp.)
