Because of the considerable heterogeneity observed between individual studies, a random-effects meta-analysis was used to adjust for variability and pool the study specific prevalence rates.8,9 To stabilize the variance of each study, we used Freeman Tukey Double
Arcsine transformation.10 For quantifying statistical Heterogeneity across studies, Cochrane's Q-statistic,11 and IA2-Statistic were used.12 Heterogeneity was categorized as high, moderate, low and, with I2 value 75%, 50% and 25% respectively.
After an
arcsine transformation of percentages, ANOVA was performed using the statistic program of MSTAT-C (Michigan State University, v.
Percent fertilization data were
arcsine transformed and analyzed with analyses of covariance (ANCOVAs) in SAS (SAS Institute, Cary, NC).
The proportions of dead slugs per container after 7 d were
arcsine square root transformed before analysis with a 1-way ANOVA.
While tables show actual proportions, before performing any statistical comparison on a proportion-derived variable, the
arcsine transformation was used.
First, the individual study proportion of outcome was transformed into a quantity using Freeman-Tukey variant of the
arcsine square root transformed proportion.
The percent repellency was transformed to
arcsine square root values for analysis of variance (ANOVA), and the effect on the transformed
arcsine of the percent repellency of different treatments (the essential oil, the four compounds, and the control) at each concentration and exposure time was analyzed separately.
The renovation, or reimagining, followed the renovation of the hotels lobby, bar and public spaces, which was also designed by Oakland-based design firm
Arcsine.
A recent makeover by Oakland design firm
Arcsine has given the inn a refresh rooted in the timeless glamour of surf culture.

Prior to analyses data on percentage (germination or haustorium) were
arcsine transformed, data on O.
Phase difference index values were
arcsine, and cross-correlation values were Fisher transformed to get asymptotical distributions.
