(kĭl′ə-mən-jär′ō), Mount The highest mountain in Africa, in northeast Tanzania near the Kenya border, consisting of three volcanoes rising from a broad base. The highest peak, 5,895 m (19,341 ft) high, was first climbed in 1889.
