Eidul Adha or the
Feast of Sacrifice has been celebrated as a national holiday in the Philippines since it was mandated by law in 2009.

Interim Chief Minister Ahod 'Murad' Ebrahim of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) has called for moral governance and pro-active stance on peace as the Muslim world observed on Sunday the 2019 Eid'l Adha (

The day, also known as the
Feast of Sacrifice, falls on Aug 12.
In Arabic, the name of the holiday means "
Feast of Sacrifice".
He told Arab News that the cows are purchased by the local community for the
Feast of Sacrifice. "We are selective about the vendors, we only choose the best-quality cows (that are) large-built and affordable."
Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara State has felicitated with the Muslim community on Eid-ul-Adha (
feast of sacrifice) celebration, calling on the faithful to spend the holiday reflecting on the lessons of the season.
