The syndicate of banks consists of BNP Paribas, Calyon and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation.

Calyon has acted as the lead bank and associate bookrunner (together with JP Morgan) for Danone's capital increase with the maintenance of preferential subscription rights.

Agricole, France's biggest retail bank, announced a 5.9 billion euro ($9.1bn) rights issue due to further writedowns at its Calyon investment banking arm of 1.2bn euros during the first quarter.

The other three debt providers were BNP Paribas Aviation Finance Group and Calyon, from France, together with National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD), who acted as a co-debt underwriter alongside Gulf International Bank BSC.

The bank has picked Calyon, JPMorgan (NYSE:JPM), Citi (NYSE:C) and HSBC (LON:HSBA) to handle the offer that will come to the market in the middle of November, according to financial industry sources.

In a filing to the Italian stock exchange, the bank said that the issue was aimed at institutional investors and was led by Banca Aletti, Calyon (CAGR.PA), Citigroup (NYSE: C) and JP Morgan Chase & Co (NYSE: JPM).

The financing was arranged by Calyon, Citi, Deutsche Bank and HSBC.

AerCap Holdings NV (NYSE:AER), an integrated global aviation company specialising in aircraft and engine leasing, has announced that its consolidated joint venture AerVenuture Limited has signed a facility agreement with Calyon SA and other banks and financial institutions.

The Bahrain office will represent Credit Agricole (Suisse), a wholly owned subsidiary of Calyon, the corporate and investment banking arm of the Credit Agricole group.

Six of the new hires have excelled in the banking and financial field at the Royal Bank of Scotland, (LON:RBS), two join from Citigroup (NYSE:C) and one each comes from Japanese Sumitomo Mitsui Banking (TYO:8316) and French Calyon.

Banco Espirito Santo, Calyon, Citigroup Inc (NYSE: C), Credit Suisse Group (NYSE: CS) (ZHR: CSGN) (CSGN.VX) and Deutsche Bank AG (NYSE: DB) (DBK.DE) are leading the deal, which is expected to be priced later on Tuesday.
