The native Brazilian bee families that buzz-pollinate include
Andrenidae, Apidae (except for Apis), Colletidae, Halictidae and Megachilidae (Buchmann and Hurley, 1978; Harter et al., 2002).
Syrhidae was the dominant family with six species, followed by three species of Apidae, and a single species (Andrena sp.) was observed from the

Of this total, the Apidae Family stood out with 99.00%, while the other Families (
Andrenidae, Halictidae and Megachilidae) with percentages lower than 1%.
En total se recolectaron 1.976 abejas (896 en PO, 666 en PB y 430 en PP), agrupadas en 70 especies y 30 generos (Tabla 2) y distribuidas porcentualmente por familia de la siguiente manera: Halictidae (67,15%), Apidae (24,28%), Colletidae (5,71%), Megachilidae (1,42%) y
Andrenidae (1,42%).

Echinomastus erectrocentrus flowers were visited by many species of bees, mainly from the
Andrenidae, Anthophoridae, Halictidae and Megachilidae (Johnson, 1992).
A total of 77 flower visiting insects were collected including several Lepidopteran species, Syphridae and Diptera species, and bees in the
Andrenidae and Halictidae families (Table 5).
