This light has wavelengths of around a millimetre, between infrared light and radio waves, and is therefore known as millimetre and
submillimetre radiation.
Scientists used the Atacama Large Millimetre/
Submillimetre Array (Alma) in Chile to gain an unprecedented insight into a distant star-forming region, named W43-MM1, that lies 18,000 light years away.
The controller is capable of tracking position of hands, fingers, and finger-like tools with
submillimetre accuracy.
The differences in the results of these methods are generally
submillimetre. In the analyzed examples, the maximum difference between the calculated deformation indicators is [mathematical expression not reproducible] for point E in Scenario III.

Submillimetre Wavelengths," Int.
The study combines BLAST
submillimetre observations at wavelengths around 0.3 mm - between infrared and microwave wavelengths - with data at much shorter infrared wavelengths from NASA's Spitzer Space Telescope.
Prof Feast gave a talk on "Cepheids and the Hubble Contant" at the conference "From IRAS to Herschel/Planck: Cosmology with infrared and
submillimetre surveys" held in London (UK) in July.
