BDO Unibank has teamed up with
Shinkin Central Bank (SCB), the central financial institution in Japan for the cooperative regional financial institutions known as '
shinkin' banks, to assist Japanese small and medium enterprises (SMEs) seeking business in the Philippines.
Mitsubishi UFJ Trust and Banking is to acquire the trust bank owned by
Shinkin Central Bank.

Shinkin Bank sees its support to Odaka Worker's Base as part of larger social contribution initiatives aimed at stimulating the recovery of economic activity and employment generation in areas affected by the disaster such as Odaka.
