Porto, Portugal, May 19, 2010 --(PR.com)-- MEGAJOULE is going to take part in the Global Wind Day 2010 organized by the European Wind Energy Association (EWEA) and the Global Wind Energy Council (GWEC).

Bill Hogan (Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory) described progress on the National Ignition Facility and provided comments on the Laser MegaJoule now under construction.

To date, Hoya has produced almost a thousand neodymium-doped laser glass slabs for the NIF and several hundred for the French Laser Megajoule (LMJ) project.

CEA plans to purchase a similar quantity of slabs for its Laser Megajoule facility, to be built later this decade.
