He contributed harmonica to The Ballad Of Easy Rider, Parsons' song Take a City Bride was first performed with The Byrds (it later appeared on his solo album Kingling) and another of his songs, Gunga Din which featured on the Easy Rider album, is widely regarded as Parsons' finest composition.
