OVER SEVERAL MONTHS IN 1951 and 1952, the 83 year-old Paul Claudel engaged in a series of wide-ranging radio interviews with the poet and literary personality Jean Amrouche.
This is his solo debut recording, paired with the Quatour Claudel-Canimex, an all-female string quartet whose name stems from the French sculptor, Camille Claudel, and the Canimex Group, a Quebec-based manufacturer that sponsors the quartet's matched instruments.
